Table Colours and Finishes
When we make a table from solid oak there are a number of further options that open up. We can texture the top of the table and colour it. We do this before we apply our heat and stain resistant lacquer.
Tables can be made to fit perfectly into your room or we can make a table that becomes the centre of further design choices.
Timbers
Oak
Oak is one of our most popular timbers. Oak is a hard timber with a tough surface and makes amazing dinning and kitchen tables and furniture. This is America white oak and coerced from renewable forests.
Walnut
Walnut is a hard timber with a dark grain. This is American Black Walnut and has a creamy finish and stunning grain. This timber if finished with a heat and stain resistant lacquer.
Irish Spalted Beech
Irish Spalted Beech is can amazing table. It can take up to two years for the spalt to develop into it's amazing patterns. We use beech timber that has being felled or is the result of storm damage.
Flamey-Beech
Flamey beech has a very active interest flowing grain. This is a hard wearing timber and makes beautiful chairs, dinning and kitchen tables and furniture.
Maple
Maple is a beautiful warm timber with a bright finish. We finish all out tables with heat and stain resistant finish.
Pine
Pine is a softer timber with a knotty finish. We make drawers with this bright and versatile timber. A staple of cabinetmaking for hundreds of years.
Cherry
Cherry is a stunning warm timber with a beautiful grain. This timber has a great presence and adds a great deal of life to any room. It makes stunning dinning and kitchen tables, chairs and furniture.
Ash
Ash is a hard timber with a beautiful grain. This timber has a bring finish with a timeless feel. This timber if finished with a heat and stain resistant lacquer.
