Spalted Beech Clear Resin Table Splayed Timber Leg

This beautiful table is made from a slab of timber taken from an ancient beech tree that came down in a storm in Cork in 2017. It took nearly 2 years to get the timber ready to make this table, allowing it to dry and splat naturally. We used transparent resin in it and to remind us that this is a piece of nature we left the edge of the table live. This involved just removing the bark and sanding it clean.
The legs on this table are made from a piece of sycamore we had for 20 years waiting to use in a special table.
